I am waiting for...

Okay I already see every detail that the professor tells about the first rough draft on the Jew bird. Before I chose the discrimination and the thesis statement wasn’t well formulate. Now I changed and I put that differences identity create a lot of problems like discrimination, hate and violence. So I explain each one with the evidence that I think match with that claim. Now I will be waiting for the professor and I will receive any recommendation because I want to do a good job.

The last project

Well, now I am try to finish my last project of ENG 1430. This project about the analyses of “The Jew bird” is the most difficult for me if I compared with the others that I did before. For the last day of the class I was absent some days now I fell a little bit lost and I have to spend a lot time to do a paragraph. But so far I showed to the professor my draft that I did about the Jew bird by Malamud. I was thinking that the part that I did was correct but it wasn’t. I chose the consequence that provoked difference between people. The professor made me a lot of comment it means that I have to do it again because he doesn’t want my opinion just I need to show evidence and analyses for each claim that I present. Now I have a lot work to do think again and make better analyses. I will send to him tonight and that he is going to tell the new changes that the paper need.

The Dominican Police (dec 12)

It is incredible the bad service that offer the police in Dominican Republic because the government doesn’t give the enough help for get the materials that they need. When exist robs, crimes, assaults and violence the police can’t make justice because they doesn’t have anything in theirs hands to help the Dominicans in these situation. A police need to be preparing with enough cars to do the service and if they have to capture some people they have to follow them but how they going to do theirs work if they aren’t prepare. Day by day the situation is worst and another reason is because now exist a new law where the police need to be sure before to put in prison somebody. They say that it is necessary see in the hands a real prove that x person to rob or kill somebody. Before maybe it was easier to do that and an assassin declare the true because the police could to treat badly but now is different they never can touch a killer or thief.

The Culture

In the American culture there are some factors that I don’t like but it doesn’t mean that necessary affected me. Some examples are the kind of music that is a little boring for me, the clothes maybe too exaggerate for the type of clothes that I wear. The spots are different like the basketball, softball that if I see I won’t really understands anything. The baseball is the most common sport in my country, more understandable for me and it is incredible the quantity of good player that comes from my country. The American culture is more open and free than others. Sometimes affect me because if I don’t adapt in the kind of clothes or the way to live I will feel not really happy living here, but indenpendely of all of this factors we need to find our happiness in every place that we are because to be happy is just inside of our heart it is why you have to looking for get it by yourself.(blog dec 5)

The topic proposal

Oh my God I have a lot of things to do and I don’t know how distribute my time to finish all of my projects but anyway I need to do it. Basically I had to star my next project of ENG 1430 and for this Wednesday give to the professor the topic proposal. I need to think about what I going to do because I am not feel really clear in this topic. I was thinking to present the thesis statement about the Jew bird but also I had the option to do it about The Mending Wall. In this thesis statement the teacher wants a claim with three or for reason about it. I need to answer why is this topic important and also to establish the audience. I want to present myself the audience because I know my own experience and I don’t want to be to general.

The mistery of "Andrea"

“Andrea” is the name of a story presented in a movie and produced in Moca, Dom.Rep. I had the opportunity to see this movie on Friday and it is incredible the impact of the scenes that it shows. Each person that see it just fell more that a big fear. Maybe is a little exaggerating from me but maybe do you think that what kind of movie is that? I know that there are a lot of movies that are excellent but this one “Andrea” is based on something that happen in the real life of a Dominican family. The big problem star when innocently a cross was removed from its tomb for Andrea, the main character in here. The spirit came out to claim its cross and to take a vengeance fallowing to Andrea and her father. This spirit takes Andrea and gets inside of her body with the objective of obtained the cross back. Manuel the father of Andrea just arrived from United States to Moca because his father dead. He is a good man that knows that exist the good things that person does, but he doesn’t think in God and either truth that the people that is death left from the tomb. When Manuel saw this entire situation he changed his mind. The body that he sees is it the Andrea but the spirit it is not and also this spirits that fallows him transformed in a child and then disappears. In that moment was when he went to ask for help to a sorcerer. This sorcerer went to the house and see that Andrea was possessed by the spirit of the owner of the cross and also make the suicide when was a boy because her grandmother didn’t love him. It is when they find a solution with a process that just a sorceress can do. Maybe this movie looks like science fiction but it is not.

The final group project

Our group project “what is good writing” was almost done, but now I don’t know somebody touch it because I saw a disaster on the order of the ideas, the format and the organization. I notice twice the same idea and different kind of letters. I was happy with this project because it is different to the others groups. But now we have to fix it again. . I still need to do the new page with the link of my part. I was trying yesterday but something is wrong I couldn’t do it. I saw that Mihee and Rosemary did her part but I definitely try to do it again. I couldn’t see the others members of my group today but I will continuo-working from home.

How can I get to be rich?

To be rich is a dream that some people have but not everybody can get it. It is really hard to get a good life enjoy all the things that you like with out money. It is true that working and studying hard it is possible enjoying a good life but it means wait for some years more. The best, quickly and easy way is win the lottery where many people take this like a good option but for get this exist smaller probabilities, because there are millions of people that are in the same position. It is true that with faith you can get a lot of things also to be positive is a good tip. In my case I don’t think that I am going to stay sit and wait for win the lottery to enjoy a better life the only option that I have is studying, studying and later I will see the result.

The Schedule

I already did the registration of the classes that I am going to take for the next semester. I putted four classes and three of these are English class. I know that these classes are really hard for me. I don’t want to be pessimist but now I think that I have to change and put another that doesn’t be too difficult. Some of my friends tell me that take this class all together is hard because the teacher put some books to read and a lot of paper to write like in “world literature” and “college composition”. So I don’t know what can I do. I am transfer student from Dominican Republic and I get a lot of credits of the two years that I studied there. It was really good that I didn’t spend my time in my country and I could use in here all the time that I studied there. But this is a problem too because I don’t have more Spanish classes. The classes that I have to take are of my major and hard too. So I want to change my schedule but I don’t have a lot of options so now I need to make my decision quickly and fell surer about what I going to do.

Group project

Writing 4all is the name of my group to do the next project. Like I said before the objectives of this project is work in-group and every person give ideas to develop the project. For now on last Monday I did a small outline about what we going to do. The professor asks for question and this outline so we did. But a problem that I find is every person on the group put separate ideas and not as a group. It was the reason that the professor sent to us an email explain us that the ideas has to be in-group and not individual. The professor looked that he was mad, because we did individual. So to fix this problem on the last Wednesday after class we went to the lab to make a combination of our ideas. I added a picture of some “students writing” and Jackie and Rosmery like it this picture. It was really difficult to put it there because I was trying many times but finally I got it. Well for this Monday there is not class, and we want to use the time and have the project done. So my group agrees with see in the lab to do the other stuff for the project.
